How to Select the Correct Anchor Length

As a general rule: Anchor Length = Insulation Thickness + Existing Surface Finish + 40mm Embedment

For example: A 50mm rockwool panel installed directly onto concrete typically uses a TMD 8 x 90 anchor, providing approximately 40mm embedment into the substrate. Where plaster, render or other surface finishes exist, the anchor length should be increased by the thickness of those layers.

Installation

Installation is straightforward:

1. Position the insulation panel.

2. Drill through the insulation into the substrate.

3. Remove dust and debris from the hole.

4. Insert the TORQ TMD anchor.

5. Hammer the anchor until the head lightly compresses the insulation surface.

6. Repeat according to the specified fixing pattern.

For masonry substrates, rotary drilling is recommended. Hammer drilling is generally not advised.
